Choosing a Littleton Orthodontist
Misaligned teeth, overbites, underbites, and large gaps between teeth can stop you from sharing your smile with the world. If you are considering braces or Invisalign, we can refer you to the orthodontic specialists at Colorado Family Orthodontics.
You have two main methods for teeth straightening:
Braces are the more traditional option for straightening teeth. They consist of metal brackets that adhere to the front of the teeth and apply constant pressure, making your teeth gradually move into the desired spot. Most children with braces get them between the ages of 9 and 14 and typically wear their braces for about a year.
The more popular orthodontic solution, Invisalign consists of clear trays customized to the shape and size of your teeth. These trays are removable like retainers but should be worn for 20-22 hours a day. Because they’re clear, they’re much less noticeable than traditional braces and are perfect for adults or teenagers who may be embarrassed by metal braces. Learn more about Invisalign®.
