You Should Feel Comfortable in Your Dentures

Dentures

If missing teeth have you embarrassed to show your smile to the world, dentures may be a perfect option for you. Not only do they replace those missing teeth, but they also provide support to your lips and cheeks. If you’re looking to get your smile back or even replace existing dentures, Kip Dental has the solution for you.

Types of Dentures

We offer two types of dentures to provide you with the best choice for your teeth: partial and complete dentures.

Partial Dentures

Removable Partial Dentures

If you still have one or more of your original teeth, your dentist will recommend partial dentures that cover sections of missing teeth. Partial dentures look like teeth attached to a gum-colored base, and are virtually undetectable. Your remaining teeth will hold your dentures in place and prevent your existing teeth from moving.

Complete Dentures

Full DenturesIf you’ve lost all of your teeth due to injury or extraction, your dentist will recommend complete dentures. Complete dentures are full sets of teeth attached to a gum-colored base, and are held in place by suction to your gums. Your gums tend to shrink after the removal of teeth, so you will need to visit your dentist regularly to ensure that your dentures are still a good fit, and have them adjusted as necessary.

Denture Replacements

Regardless of the type of dentures you’ve got, it’s important to see your dentist every 3-8 years to check up on your dentures. Your dentist will make sure that your dentures are still the right fit for your mouth, and will provide you with replacements if your gums have shifted.
