Scholarship Official Rules
By submitting your entry you agree to the terms and conditions of the scholarship.
Entry Deadline: The deadline for entries is midnight on April 1, 2019. Submit your essay online via this page. If you’re having problems with the form, reach out to scholarships@kipdental.com.
Eligibility: All residents of Littleton, CO, or students enrolled at a high school in Littleton, CO, are eligible. Exceptions may be made for a student living or attending school in a community near, but not officially within, Littleton. You must currently be enrolled as a high school senior to qualify. Contestants are limited to one entry, and only one winner will be accepted.
Original Work: All entries must be original and created by the individual applying for the scholarship.
Ownership of Entries: All entries become the intellectual property of Kip Dental.
Document Formats Accepted: .doc, .docx, .pdf. Visual elements, like photos and graphics, are allowed.
Taxes: Scholarship funds are subject to taxation. Federal, state and local taxes may apply.
Required Documents: Winners must submit a competed W-9 form to obtain the scholarship funds.
Spending the Scholarship: The funds are eligible for any education-related expenses, such as books, room and board and school supplies, including technology.
Public Display: Finalist’s work will be published online on the Kip Dental website as well as on social media. When submitting the entry students can select their work to be posted anonymously. Only first names and the name of the high school the student attends will be used when posting non-anonymous entries. No other personal information will be shared.
Right to Cancel: Kip Dental has the right to cancel the scholarship contest at any time.
Use of Copyrighted Material: Any entry containing copyrighted material, for example a logo of business, may be disqualified from the competition.
Entry Evaluation and Winner Selection: The selection of the winner will be based on merit and is at the sole discretion of Kip Dental. Entries will be judged on effort, creativity, accuracy, popularity and quality. Only one winner will be selected.
Kip Dental does not and shall not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion (creed), gender, gender expression, age, national origin (ancestry), disability, marital status, sexual orientation, or military status, in any of its activities or operations.
Winner Notifications: The winner will be notified by April 30th, 2019. Winners are notified via email prior to being announced online. The scholarship funds are mailed to the recipient before the end of May 2019.
Data Collection and Use: Personal information will be collected for contest participants. This information will be used to contact participants for information related to the contest. Kip Dental may also use this information to send direct mail or promotional emails. This information will not be shared with 3rd parties. Applicants can choose to hide their name entirely when posting their entries online.
